Our new Color Laserjet MFP 179fnw will print duplex pages perfectly when printing from a word document or any other local source. However, if you want to print from a google doc, email or website, the printer requires that you manually turn and reinsert the page to get a double-sided print. Are you kidding me?!?!
I've attempted to fix the problem by adjusting the options in the printer properties, but even in there it shows only a manual print. Here is a pic of that.
Perhaps, I'm not in the right place? Any help would be greatly appreciated. If we can't fix it, we're going to just return the printer. But I'd hate that hassle.

Are you 100% sure your printer prints duplex pages automatically from a Word?
The CLJ 179fnw doesn't have an automatic duplex, it has manual duplex only where you need to reinsert sheets manually by hand.
Can you please double-check printer model and confirm once more it prints automatically duplex from a Word.

Well, I thought it did. When I just went to print a duplex in Word again, it showed me two options. One that appears to print in automatically and one manually. See below. However, when I chose the automatic option (the one not listed manual), it still requires that I flip the page. So perhaps it only has manual duplex printing. It's weird that it gives you what appears to be two options though.
So if this can't be fixed by a setting, we will need to buy another printer. Can you recommend a Color Laserjet All-in-One that is wireless and can duplex print and scan? The double-sided scan isn't essential but preferred. Everything else is a requirement. What I liked so much about this printer is that it had a feature where it tried to keep your printer connected in 3 different ways. I'm forever having problems with the printer disconnecting. Any recommendations on what to buy next would be greatly appreciated!

You will need to buy a new printer, there is no option for your printer model to have an automatic duplex.
When buying keep in mind that printer must have d in the name ( d stands for duplex), e.g. M570dn or P2055d if there is no d that model doesn't support automatic duplex printing. Your printer is fnw that stands for fax, network, wireless your new printer must have d and w for duplex and wireless.
