I have cleared the printing queue, uninstalled and reinstalled the printer AND the driver from the hp website  to no avail. I have changed the toner, turned the printer off and left unplugged for a few minutes before trying again. I have restarted the computer and to no avail it wont print a thing. 

 

The printer was working fine previously and there were no changes to either the hard or software of either the printer or the computer. When I troubleshoot the printer I get 'problem with the printer, windows will troubleshoot additional steps' and then nothing happens. The status of the printer is in 'error' and while I have the option to print something when I select it literally nothing happens. 

 

Any suggestions as to what I'm to do now?

USB or network installation?

 

You could try switching your connection type from one to another to see if the printer can communicate with your PC at all or not.
