Color Laser Jet Enterprise M553

In our high school library we use a Color Laser Jet Enterprise M553. It worked beautifully the first few weeks, but now it is just an object of frustration. The toner cartridges leak profusely. Color copies do not print well, and black and white copies often have streaks of color. It has been serviced by the dealer it was purchsed from, but there was no difference in performance. The dealer suggested that the problem may be the toner cartridges,  we changed out the cartridges but the problem persisted. All the cartridges came from the same supplier, so it is possible that the problem is with the batch. The dilemma is whether or not to purchase another set of cartridges (which would be about an $1100 expense) to verify if that is the problem, or just invest in a different color printer. Input welcome.
