hi! My printer is locking me out of menu options by saying menu access disabled. This is inconvienent and unfortunate because I am trying to trouble shoot my printer not working properly. Please let me know what I can do to unlock my menu options on my printer.

Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips. Thank you for posting your query. I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

If you have previously setup an Embedded Web Server (EWS) password that you don't remember, you will not be able to access the printer settings.

To reset the Embedded Web Server (EWS) password, try to restore Network Settings:

On the product control panel, press the Setup button.

Use the arrows buttons to select the Network Setup Menu and then press the OK button.

Use the arrows buttons to select the Restore Defaults and then press the OK button.

If you are unable to restore network to defaults or reset the EWS password, please contact our phone support for further assistance.

Click on this link – http://www.hp.com/contacthp/

Select the product type.

Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

Select the country from the drop-down.

You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

Click the “Kudos, Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!
