HP laserjet 4240N
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP laserjet 4240N --after I did a cold reset I was unable to fine my IP address and has lost the Embedded JetDirect Page on Print Configuration.I am still able to print using direct wired connection to the computer but my network function is gone.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sometimes it can be trickey.  First I would try the press the geen check mark button down and keep it down before turning on the printer and see if it get to where the 3 lights come on solid. If not then again turn on the printer and when the memory starts to count in the display press and hold the green check mark button until the 3 lights come on solid. Just keep on trying as it will work with one of those methods.

Perhaps the embedded network interface was disabled by the cold reset although I have never seen that as a cold reset brings the printer back to factory defaults. I would first enter the same menu you did for the cold reset by pressing the green button down when the memory starts to count while turning on the printer and waiting for all 3 lights to come on solid. Release and then scroll down to see if you have a line enable embedded network interface and if you do, select it and hit the green button and when the printer comes to ready, wait about 2 minutes and then print a config page and you should get the second page.

Thank you Davidzuts,

I have tried what you instructed me to do and now the 3 lights didn't even become solid. It didn't even stop with I holding down the green button and went to initializing and then later on displayed--Ready.Previously I was able to do what you instructed me here and I did see the 3 solid lights aand then scroll down to language and then select cold reset .Now I can't even do that.

I have tried to pull out the assembly metal cage (where the board is) and reinserted it after a few hours and it didn't change anything.Still printing only a single page. Also when I went  to I/O it only displayed  2 options--I/O time out and Parallel input and nothing else.

First I would try pressing the geolocation button down and holding it down before turning on the printer and see if it gets to where the 3 lights are. If not, turn on the printer and when the memory starts counting in the display press display and hold the blue check button until 3 lights are on. Just keep trying as it will work with one of those methods.
