I spent 2 hours with HP Chat specialist yesterday with no resolution. Support promised to have a supervisor call me back -- have not received a call back.
Problem: the printer stopped printing documents. The only way I can print a document is to unplug the printer, wait 10 seconds, plug it back in, wait for the wireless connection and print a NEW document.
Documents already in the queue will not print, even if paused and resumed. Those documents must be removed from the queue or the NEW document will not print. This will work for only 1 document print; then the problem repeats. Chat support repeated the same steps I took to try to resolve -- so these have been done twice, with no resolution:
- Printer and Scanners window confirms network sharing to "everyone"
- Both the printer and the computer are on the same wireless network.
- There is only one printer on the network.
- Wireless Network Test Report passes all with excellent signal strength.
- Printer deleted and re-added.
- Restored network defaults and router access re-added.
- Wireless Network Test Report re-run and passes all with excellent signal stgrength.
- Same problem occurs when printing from MacbookPro also running Mac OSx 10.10.5
- Opening the print utility shows this:
Printer previously worked flawlessly on the network and nothing has changed.
Has anyone experienced this who can help?

Thank you for your replies. As an update, HP tech support identified that the problem was with using a 5GHz network. Once the printer was rolled back to an older network, the problems resolved.

Hi @VBPrinter,
Thank you for joining the HP Forums!
I noticed that you cannot print with your HP Laserjet M252dw on Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite, and I am happy to help!
I would recommend to try and setup a static IP address on the printer with the following public DNS from Level 3.
Primary 209.244.0.3

I have the exact same problem as @VBPrinter and I am using the exact same printer model on the same system/OS X version. I am trying to setup a static IP address as you suggested in order to solve this problem. However, the method shown in the video requires us to print the HP NETWORK CONFIGURATION PAGE. I can't find how to print this page, therefore I can't go further and setup the static IP address. Please explain how to print the HP Network Configuration Page specifically with the M252DW printer. Thank you.
