Hi,
I'm trying to print on transparencies, but it jams instantly when it feeds the sheets. I bought this printer specifically for this feature, and it worked fine at first. I've tried both trays, making sure the printer driver is using the transparencies preset, changing the paper type setting on the printer itself -- but can't get a successful print. The sheets are designed for color laser printers, so I don't think it's a media type issue. Do I need to try official HP transparencies? Would doing a clean install of the driver change anything (maybe the printer isn't receiving the settings properly)?
Would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you!

Hi @derekjr,
Welcome to the HP Forums! 🙂
I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.
As I understand that you are unable to print on transparencies paper as it is getting stuck.
I will glad to help you with your HP Color LaserJet Pro M252dw.
Step 1: Clear the paper jams in the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF).
-
Press the Power button to turn off the printer, and then disconnect the power cord from the wall socket or power strip.
-
Open the ADF cover.
-
Remove any jammed paper visible in the input tray area. Use both hands to slowly pull out the jammed paper to avoid tearing the paper.
-
Close the ADF cover.
-
Lift the document feeder input tray to provide better access to the document feeder output bin, and then remove any jammed paper from the output area.
-
Open the scanner lid. If there is paper jammed behind the white plastic backing, gently pull it out.
-
Close the scanner lid.
-
Reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet or power strip, and then press the Power button to turn the printer on.
-
Try to print again.
If the issue persists uninstall the printer software and driver and install it from here.
Like you mention you can also try with the HP transparencies paper.
Let me know how it goes.
