HP LaserJet M402

Have LaserJet M402dne with additional tray (Tray 3). When the paper-level in tray 3 is low (say 25 sheets or less), printer won't feed paper and results in a 13.0404 jam message on display. Has less than 8000 pgs. printed todate.  Rollers all look good.

Common issue usually caused by the paper level indicator being in the wrong position. pull out the paper tray on the left side of the drawer there is a nylon "C" shape that is supposed to be around the metal of the paper tray. Often the metal tray winds up underneath the plastic "C" and then the tray cannot lift all the way.

This is what a bad tray looks like:

Thank you Trooper, the "C" was not dislodged but I could see from the picture that the

tip on the bottom of the "C" is broken.  Big help thanks again.
