Color Laserjet M476dn

Our Color Laserjet M476dn recently had a jam, and one of the employees opened the back and pulled the paper out.  Ever since then, the paper comes out crunched on the left side.  It is hard to tell in the picture. but on the left side of this print out, it appears a gear or something that guides the paper out is crunching the paper (rather than smooth output). It was hard to photograph the output. so I circled the area.

In addition I found this piece in the output tray. I talked to other users in the area and they didn't know what it was.

Can anyone identify what this peice is?  since it is torn, I have to assume (but can't prove) that this tore off when the jam occurred and now is causing the crunching of the paper.  Do you know what to replace in the printer?  I read the disassembly manual, and it is complex.  but might be worth the shot.

THanks in advance.

Since I didn't get any responses I decided to take it apart. and look what I found:IMG_0050.JPG

This is the fuser assembly.  and as you can see the pink roll ripped off.  So i'm off to find another fuser.
