M506 printing blank pages

We have an M506 printer that prints fine with the standard cartridge, but when installing high yield cartridges it prints blank pages. We've tried more than one high yield cartridge, and the high yield cartridges work fine in other M506s. The cartridges are genuine HP.

Any ideas?

Unless there is something physically broken in the printer, which should stop standard cartridges from printing as well I have no idea. There are no noted issues in the tech documentation I have access to.

Problem solved.

There are 2 spring contacts on the lower left side of the toner cartridge compartment. The one toward the rear was bent forward just enough that it would make with the standard cartridge but not with the high yield cartridges. The standard cartridge had a larger contact than the high yield.
