Model HP Enterprise M553 (B5L25a Variant), is presenting with black streaks down "back" edge, relative to screen/interface, and when duplexing it's present on both sides, but more faint on the second side. TCU is ~1/4 full, although "full" is relative? I've updated the firmware, and checked the quality of prints through the fuser, by interrupting and removing printed documents from the fuser, and it seems it might be the fuser, except that the toner cartridge roller AND belt feeder inside right hand hatch both show toner streaking too, on the roller. Using Standard paper, plugged into wall receptacle directly, with OEM cartridges purchased through HP/HP recommended supplier

You may have a transfer belt with a clogged waste collector, the part of the belt that stores waste toner before placing it in the waste bin. If that is the case then often the belt itself or the seals will be demaged. If you know how to remove the belt, take it out and on the right side of the front of the belt (first into the printer, circled red in photo below), carefully depress the lock seal, over something to catch any toner that falls out and see if there is a build up. If there is you can try shaking the belt whilst keeping the lock depressed to shake out the excessive toner. There can be a lot of toner so it might take a minute. If you catch this early and the belt has not been damaged you may save the belt. If the belt cannot be saved and the page count on the printer is less than 50K, contact HP tech support and hold their feet to the fire to get the belt replaced as a premature long life consumable failure.

HP at its best with their premature transfer belt failures. This was a major problem on their previous models, the 4525/4540/M680 etc. The coil that would carry the excess toner would fail due to paper residue build up or toner build up. It just didnt not take it to the toner collection unit properly.
We had a lot of these that didnt last the pace. More than likely you will need to replce the belt itslef or hopefully pick up a wiper blade cheap enough and attempt your own repair.
