Example: Pavilion 65XXHP M553
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Unable to get my M553 printer to come back omnline or wake from sleep mode. I have tried everything, with the exception of reloading the software. How do I get my printer back online???

Question for clarity, is the printer asleep or is it showing in Windows that it is asleep. There are two common possible issues here.

If you are connected via Network and the pritner has been configured using a WSD port instead of a standard TCP/IP port, it is common for the computer to lose track of the printer. More common with Windows 10, but a good thing to check. In Windows, go to control panel>devices and pritners>right click on the printer icon and click on the port tab and see how it is connected.

Other possible problem is that the pritner itself is asleep and the sleep settings have been configured to ignore both network activity as a wakeup signal. You can test this but turning the printer on then off and seeing if you can print. If you can then check sleep settings and make sure it is set to wakeup on network activity or USB if you are connected that way.
