Laserjet M608

A Laserjet M608 recently came into our shop.  It has a 49.20 error.  This error looked like a possible firmware error, but I wanted to confirm.  I was shocked to discover that the repair manual doesn't have a list of error codes for these machines.  What the hell?  An additional half hour of Googling didn't turn up anything worthwhile, either.

Was this an error on HP's part, or is this a trend in the way they're doing their manuals?

Error codes are now contained in the CPMD, control panel message document. 49 errors are usually caused by firmware and updating should be your first step.
