I have a client with an HP LJ M680z MFP. When they print or scan, images come out perfectly clear. However, when copying (regardless if scans are made from ADF or Flatbed Scanner) the images come out with Magenta streaks and bloches all over the page. Not sure what this could be.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Below is a link so you can view a sample of what it is doing.

Hi Bigjimfanning,

1) Upgrade printer's firmware to latest version: 3.9.2 :

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-color-laserjet-enterprise-mfp-m680-series/539119...

2) Are you using HP genuine cartridges ?

3) The laser/scanner unit might be faulty

I hope this may help,

Cheers!

Thanks Alex. The issue turned out to be the Magenta toner. When making copies, they were choosing the Color Copy option which engages the color cartridges. On Greyscale they were not having any issue. Replaced the cartridge and the printer functioned normally again.
