E77822DN
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

We have purchased a MFP E77822DN and we are having problems setting it up.

We have letterhead paper, facing down, in Tray 2 (All other trays empty)

When we print a 2 page document, the pages print correctly (Page 1 on the letterhead side, Page 2 on the back)

When we print a 1 page document, the page prints on the back of the letterhead

I have tried turning the setting "Alternative Letterhead Mode" on and off and it makes no difference at all.

I have tried different paper types on the printer, but again, this makes no difference.

Is there another setting that I should be looking at for this? Could Windows be overriding the setting, even though there is not an option in printing preferences to choose this (can only be set on the printer)

Model Number: X3A78A

Product Name: HP Color LaserJet MFP E77822

OS: Windows 10 x64

Printer Networked via IP

Example PDF: 2 Sheet PDF

I have fixed this by installing the HP Universal Print Driver PCL6 and that has given me the "Advanced" tab on the Printing Preferences to turn on Alternative Letterhead Mode for the driver in Windows.

The full packaged driver does not have this option ... And even though the setting was turned on on the printer this had no effect
