This printer was working fine on both network PC's for quite a while. Now after a very short time of it being started it won't print. It seems like it won't wake up on a print job from the network, which again worked fine until recently. If I turn it off and restart it, all the print jobs in the queue print, then a short while later, I do not know how long, it stops processing jobs again. I have verified the wake on print job settings and they are on.

If anyone else has had this issue and solved it I would appreciate some help.

Thanks

Reading the link you gave me it appears that all has to do with the windows print queue. That is not the problem I believe since it is the same from 2 separate PC's on my network. So 2 PC's can't wake up 1 printer on the network which tells me it is not the PC print queues.

Running the HP print and scan doctor 4.9 usually tells me the printer is offline even though it is up and running and all green on the network connections. I just ran it now and of course it all worked perfectly.

So in summary, multiple computers trying to print to the network attached printer and jobs are held in the print queue on the PC. When I restart the printer, the jobs come out since they were still in the PC print queue.

Sorry for my miscommunication that pointed you to the print queue.

Thanks

Neither of these 2 seemed to help inititally, then I was looking at the bottom of the page for the first link and it mentionied disabling SNMP. I did that since it was enabled and, so far, it has worked every time, even when back to sleeping mode.

So this was indeed very helpful since I would never have thought of SNMP as a potential culprit.

Thanks very much.
