MFP M277dw

My MFP M277dw is printing black pages - I mean edge to edge on the paper not even with a margin!

I can see the colour behind the black.

Was working perfectly fine before the cartridges ran out and were replaced.  I have replaced the cartridge thinking that was the issue, but it is still occuring.

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂 I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.

The printing mechanism and printing path inside the printer might need to be cleaned to resolve issues like this:

  1. From the Home screen on the printer control panel, touch Setup ().

  2. Touch Service, and then touch Cleaning Page.

  3. Load plain, white paper when you are prompted.

  4. Touch OK to begin the cleaning process.

  5. Try to print again to see if the issue is resolved.

If the issue persists, please perform the remaining steps from this document: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-color-laserjet-pro-mfp-m277-series/7089945/model/7089949/doc...

Let me know if this helps.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution and Kudos buttons, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Thanks!

Have a great day!

This is usually a short in the HVPS (rare), a ground clip broken off (almost as rare) or the toner wiping blade flipped inside out (most common).

Did you remove the entire seal or did it possibly break off inside the toner?  This will cause damage. Also, is it an HP brand toner or an off brand/refill?
