Due to MS simple auth depreciation we are attempting to move to an HVE account per MS recommendation.
After setting up default sending with the
smtp server smtp-hve.office365.com
port 587
SSL/TLS enabled
Authenticated enabled with valid account for HVE
If I send to the hve email then save and test it works
If I send to any other internal email I get "The test was unsuccessful. Try again"
Turning off the default smtp and setting everything up exactly the same in outgoing email profiles everything works, and the scan can be sent to any internal email as designed. This process just adds a lot of steps for our users.
With default set saved if I scan to email on the M477 itself I get a message "All recipient e-mail addresses are rejected by the server"
Why does everything work with the SMTP set as an outgoing profile, but not as a default SMTP configuration?
*Edit* additional information the email recipient address entered to receive the scan isn't the same as what address was displayed in the exchange message trace. Entered email XXXX@domain.com message trace destination address "donotedit-8182c646-02b1-4a78-99d4-37d55e9e4513@localhost" what's causing this change?
