Greetings!
I have a problem with LaserJet PRO MFP M225rdn.
The screen blinks when you turned on the MFP. There is no information on the screen. The device is not initialized. Can't reset to factory settings (the device does not respond to this manipulation).
The device is not detected on a computer. Therefore, I think, it is not possible to update the firmware.
I have no idea how to resolve this.
How can I solve this problem?

Greetings!
The problem was in 10-pin plume that connect screen and printer board.
I called all 10 contacts, found non-working.
Then I tried to solder non-working contacts, but it did not help. Tin just fell off.
Then I cut off part of the plume on one side and cleaned the ends. After that, I put a peeled end into the printer board and it all worked.
But....it was possible to do easier: buy a new plume.

Hi @AlexStr,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
Thank you for posting your query in this forum, it's a great place to find answers.
I reviewed your post and I understand that printer is not initializing.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.
When was the last time the printer was working fine?
Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
Meanwhile, follow below steps and check if it helps.
- If the printer is off, turn on the printer, and then check the status of the printer.
- If the printer starts printing jobs from the print queue, your printer is clearing out queued print jobs and is online. You can stop troubleshooting.
- If the printer goes to an idle state after its startup routine, it might be online.
- If the computer still shows the printer as offline, continue using these steps.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
- Unplug the printer power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 60 seconds. Restart the computer while you are waiting.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- If the printer does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
