This MFP was setup to scan to MS365 using the direct connector method and was working find. the client has moved to a new office location and the scanner is no longer working. The ISP is the same, and the external Fixed IP Address is the same. I have attempted several things recommended in other posts, such as setting the DNS Servers to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 but the results remain the same the unit sends out the DNS request and the dns servers return the ip address of the server but no attempt to send the email is ever seen. since no attempt is being made this issue can not be due to MS365 since it is never seeing any request to send. I have also configured the device for authenticated SMTP using another account that is known to work and the same results DNS requests but no send attempt. any guidance would be welcome.
