HP Pro MFP477fdn

A friend asked me to look at her MFP477fdn. She suspects it was damaged by a lightning hit. Before I rip into it, has anyone run into this and was there an easy fix? (i.e. an MOV, fuse, or other internal protection device that took the surge)

I've never fixed an HP printer by replacing a fuse, I have found some bad fuses but replacing them never helped.

Update: I tried powering it up and it actually turns on. (I thought she said it was dead)

The print engine seems to go through a warm up cycle, etc but the LCD display is blank.  i  tried attaching it to a PC using USB and then wifi so I could see the printer's  status on a monitor, but no dice.

Ideas?
