Would like to be able to get meter reads (print counters) from USB connected LaserJets without having to be physically there. I'm assuming that the managed print drivers are needed for this, but what other software would I use?

I have remote access to the computer that the printers are connected to.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,
You may open the HP Device Toolbox software from the computer, within the Device Configuration section you may find the page count information for the printer.

Also, the HP Print and Scan Doctor could be used for a such, after selecting the printer and clicking Next, click the top Printer menu and select Advanced Printer Data, from there you may found the Page Count for your printer:

Is there software for Linux that would allow me to get meter reads for USB connected HP printers?
