Hi everyone,
I've had my LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw color MFP for many years, and it has always worked fine. Lately, however, I've noticed that misprints are becoming more and more common. I am encountering the errors even when using decent quality laser grade paper, so I don't think that is the issue. Is the printer just showing its age, and if so, is it worth repairing?
Many thanks!

By misprints do you mean that the paper does not feed properly? If so, simply cleaning or replacing the pickup roller will usually return your printer to proper operation. If you are speaking about print defects I would need to see some samples to provide an opinion.

By misprint, I mean that the printer returns with a "misprint" error before the paper ever appears to feed. I am regularly getting a combination of "misprint" errors and "paper jams," where the latter requires me to pull a stuck piece of paper out of the printer. When the document is for my own internal use, I've tried to save paper by printing on the back sides of already-used pages, but when I started having these problems, I went back to virgin laser printer stock, with the same problems.
How would I go about cleaning or replacing the pickup roller? If it needs to be replaced, is that something an end user can do (not terribly technical) or does it need to be taken into a shop?
Thanks!
