Color LaserJet MFP 180nw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I have a Color LaserJet MFP 180nw.  I recently moved to a new house, taking all my PC equipment with me (including cable modem and router).  I have been able to get everything to work in my new home, but my printer will not print, unless you use the HP Smart App.  MS Word issues the error "there doesn't seem to be a printer installed."  Excel and Power Point issue similar errors.  However, I can clearly see that there is a printer installed by going into settings.  Also, using the HP Print and Scan Doctor, I can even print a test page successfully.

I am trying to print wirelessly.  I logged onto my router's admin page and was able to identify that the printer is connected to the same wireless network as my PC.  I've fought with this for the  better part of 3 hours now and I am at my limit on thinking of new solutions to try.  I've even done a "reset to factory defaults" twice.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

the address on the printer has likely changed and the driver is looking for the printer on the wrong IP address. If you click add printer and search does it find the printer?

Unfortunately, that doesn't help.  The IP address on the printer is the same as before.  I double-confirmed that before posting.  Even when I go to the printer config page (192.168.1.170) it shows it as connected, to the correct network.  Based on that info, and the fact I can print from the HP Smart App, I am guessing the problem is in Windows somewhere.

Additional information: Scanning works just fine.
