My HP Officejet 4632 will not print. I can scan with no problem, but when I try to print, nothing. Using HP Peint and Scan Doctor 5.0, everything checks out ok and the app can print, but when I try to even print a test page, I het an error saying the page couldn't print do I want to run the troubleshooter. I run the troubleshooter and it finds no problems. I have done everything I can think to do, update driver, update firmware, uninstall and reinstall. When I uninstall and reboot , windows sees the printer and reinstalls it, but I still can't print. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @JimJackson,
I reviewed the response comprehensively. As your wife's computer seems to w work correctly with the printer, then the issue is with this specific computer and not the printer. You've done brilliant troubleshooting and displayed great attitude and splendid resolve to try and get the issue fixed. Kudos to you for that. 🙂
First, uninstall the printer software by following the steps from my previous link.
Then I request you to create a new local administrator user account in windows first. from this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/instantanswers/5de907f1-f8ba-4fd9-a89d-efd23fee918c/create-a-loc...
Later install the full feature software from the same link from my previous post and check again if this does the trick for you.
If this does not work please try the windows built-in drivers from this link: http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01796879 and check if that fixes the issue.
Finally, if nothing works, please backup all your files and reinstall windows back to factory settings and check if the issue gets resolved.
Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great.
To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.
Take care now and have a superb week ahead. 🙂

Hi @imJackson,
Good Day. Thanks for posting your query in the HP community. I read the post regarding printing issues from the printer. It will be a pleasure to assist you here.
Commendable diagnosis, superb troubleshooting and splendid description of the issue before posting. Hats off to you on that score. 🙂
I would require more information regarding this to provide you with an accurate response.
- Did you try to make copies directly from the computer?
- Did you replace cartridges and check if they work correctly?
- Please make 2 copies directly from the printer without any communication from the computer.
- If it copies fine then please uninstall the printer drivers by following these steps:
- Uninstall the printer from "programs and features" which can be accessed by doing a right-click on the Windows button (Please have the printer Off and disconnected during uninstallation.)
- Check in device manager, if the printer is listed there, please delete it. (Right click on the Windows button to access device manager)
- Go to devices and printers, select any printer listed there and you will get some options on the top.
- Click on print server properties.
- You will get a popup, click on the drivers tab and delete all the HP printer drivers listed there if any.
- Delete all the instances of your printer listed in devices and printers.
- Restart the PC.
- Once the PC is on the desktop, press Win + R, it would bring a Run dialog box,
- Type %temp% in the run box and click Ok or hit the Enter button.
- It would bring up the temporary files folder. Delete the files in the folder (You might not be able to delete all the files).
- If possible, delete the printer from the registries using Regedit or using any other 3rd party application.
- Restart the PC again. Ignore the Regedit option if it cannot be done.
- Download the latest full feature driver from www.hp.com/drivers and install it on the computer.
- Connect the printer to your computer only when the setup prompts for the printer.
Then check if corrects the issue for you.
If it does not correct the issue, please install the built-in drivers from this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01796879 and check if it prints correctly.
Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient, please. Please note that I am not overloading you with a lot of troubleshooting steps.
Instead, just like you, I am eager to ensure that the problem gets resolved. So I am providing you with more resources and information at your disposal to deal with the situation better.
Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great.

Ok, I've done everything you suggested and it still doesn't work. To muddy the water a little more , my wife can print to it from her computer on the network but I can't print to her printer either (HP 4650). It would seem that the problem is with my system rather than the printer. I ran SFC to check the system files and no problems were found. During setup the fax test works and prints the report. I can copy and scan, so I'm at a total loss. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help so far.

Creating a new admin account fixed the problem. Thanks for thr suggestion, I never would have thought of that. I had planned to reinstall Windows this morning, but decided to try the new account first. Sometimes the simplest solutions work best. Thanks again for the suggestion.
