My printer prints black lines across the page when printing from the computer

I print from my computer (Word text files) and I get two very dark lines horizontally across the page, about 1/3 and 2/3s of the way down, dividing the paper into three parts.

The printer is new.

Welcome to HP forms, I see that you are getting horizontal lines while printing.

• Did you try to print from a different application and check if the issue persists?
• Did you make a copy and check if it prints fine?
• Provide the correct printer model number or the product number?

I printed from the web (google chrome) as well as from Word.  I do not have the ability to make a copy with this machine.  It is only a printer.  The number is HP LaserJet Pro M14-M17.

Did not see the real printout but most of the time from what you saying you got a bad cartridge needed to be replaced.
