My HP Color LaserJet MFP M477fnw stopped working with my computer December 31, 2025.

The message I got says some type of certificate expired on that date.  All was working fine and then the printer just stopped working with my computer.  The steps I was given to create a new certificate do not work.  I spoke with customer support.  My printer, which was working just fine, is no longer supported. Thus, HP will not help me.  It still prints from my phone, it still copies and scans to my computer. It just won’t allow me to print.
I’ll have to buy a new one.  Perhaps another brand.  Has anyone else had this problem?   I hope there’s a solution out there.

This is HP's official documentation on fixing this issue, however their solution requires a Windows PC,

you can also refer to this solved thread on these forums
