Hi The_Fossette !

Could you send me the same instructions please? EWS has multiple features locked, I've tried the Semi-Full Reset, Network Reset and just a simple Reboot but EWS is not accepting the known Password it has had for about 3 years.

Thank You!

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Resetting the printer to its factory defaults may resolve this issue. Performing a semi-full reset should delete the previously set passwords on the printer.

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
  • In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage

Let me know how this goes.

  • The semi-full reset is performed on the printer so that the printer settings are restored to defaults.
  • Are you trying to access the EWS page of the printer or the router?
  • If you have the same error, please attach a screenshot of the same in your post.
  • This reset method helps only to access the EWS page of the printer or to unlock the locked features on the printer and not your router/modem.
  • If you want to access the EWS page of your router/modem, please contact your Internet service provider.

Steps to access the EWS of printer:

Step 1: Obtain the IP address of the printer by clicking on the wireless iconhttps://support.hp.com/document/attachments/images/162/c02131772.gif  at the bottom of the printer screen

Step 2: Input the IP address in the topmost box of a browser and hit search. If you get a security notification, click on proceed to this website.

Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hey @Kumar0307,

I DM'd you too,  so Partial-Full ran through and reset everything except EWS features. When browsing via HTTPS to the Printer's IP the features are locked , and ask for a User and Password. I've tried

- What I set it to originally about 2 years ago

- admin/blank

- admin/password

-admin/admin

-blank/blank

- administrator/admin

-administaror/password

What would you expect default EWS credentials to be based on latest, late 2018 Firmware?

Thanks

1 - EWS Features locked in Broswer1 - EWS Features locked in Broswer2 - Clicking features requires authentication2 - Clicking features requires authentication

  • The default login credentials could be :
  1. admin/password
  2. admin/blank

If you have performed a semi-full reset and still the features on the printer's EWS page is locked, let us try enabling it from the printer control panel.

  • Follow the instructions in my private message to access Support menu.
  • Once there, scroll down to Enable/disable menu.
  • Here enable all the required services.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.

Okay here's what I needed to do:

- All of Kumars last post

- THEN go " Network Service Reset " on the Printer itself so the EWS clears it's Config.

Thanks to Kumar!
