New purchase Envy 7800 series, will not print, cartridges in correctly, but unsuccessful calibration. Reset the cartridges and no help. All else seems operational. What now?

@SteveJ62,

Good day. Thank you for visiting the HP support forums. I reviewed the post and will like to help. Great presentation of the issue. Kudos to you for that.

  • Did you try aligning the ink cartridges and the printer?
  • Do you get any error messages while printing?
  • Are you able to make photocopies directly from the printer?
  • Please share an image of exactly what is seen on the screen to assist you correctly.
  • Did you try cleaning the ink cartridges and then aligning them?

One of the cartridges may be faulty. Let's try these steps now:

Then from this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/product/hp-envy-photo-7800-all-in-one-printer-series/9073159/document/c... (HP Inkjet Printers - 'Alignment Unsuccessful' Error Message Displays)

Now check for issue resolution. If it continues, then I will send you a private message to assist you with the next course of action. Check your forum private message box in the upper right corner next to the bell icon.

Good luck and keep me posted about the developments. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue and give the post a Kudos for my efforts to help. Thank you and have a great week ahead. 🙂
