Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Ever since Windows 10 came out, I can't get the wireless function to install. I've tried downloading the full driver but Windows kills it. It says you have HP Smart so it will be terminated. I don't want HP Smart it's not very smart at all; it's annoying. How do I get the wireless functionality back? This is the sole reason that I purchased this laser printer.

@MichaelDeem

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824 (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
  • Are you referring HP smart App?
  • Are you getting any error message or code?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps:

1) Take out the cartridges.

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Wait for 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Remove the cartridges > Unplug the power cord > Wait for 30 seconds > Plug the power cord back > Insert the cartridges.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
