Officejet 6500 All-in-One Scanner Problems

My apology, just reread and it shows you are operating as wireless. I can' t scan with my 6500 wireless so am using an ethernet connection.  Try with the cable but make sure you turn off wireless.

Scanner won't work at all on my machine and having to use a different system.

wireless or cable connection? Never have been able to scan using wireless and HP is no help. Make sure you have proper "scan to" setup in software and double check setting as this can drop out without notice.

Have one cable connected computer that scans properly, but nothing on wireless. Cable connection is direct from printer to computer, not through a router.

Good luck, I have given up trying to make wireless work, thanks to HP.

Thanks to the mule for his solution.  Four years later and this issue is still not resolved by HP.  I can scan from the glass wirelessly but the auto feed results in blank pages when scanning wirelessly.  With a wire, all is well.

 6500A has let me down.  I want to like HP but this is sad that it still is unfixed in 2013

I cannot thank you enough!  I have been struggling with this for months as well!  I just plugged my laptop into and ether net cord and it worked instantly!  Thank you!
