HP Laserjet P1102W
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I'm having an issue printing from my p1102w over a wireless network that I believe I've tracked down to cartridge protection issues.

The EWS screen does not include any option to disable cartridge protection and the device status screen shows that I am using a non-HP cartridge. I have updated the device firmware and have tried several printer restarts and re-seating the toner cartridge.

I am able to print test pages and device configuration pages from this window, showing that the printer and cartridge work, but the printer will not print anything I send to it from outside this window. It spools and feeds paper but outputs it blank.

Any help you can offer is appreciated.

I don't think it has anything to do with cartridge protection. HP's will commonly tell you you're using a non-HP cartridge, but that's all. They come default to allow them. If protection was enabled, you couldn't print anything at all.

So, as a test, if you go to a web page and print out just the first page or two, they come out blank? Or is it only documents you're trying to send?
