When I print duplex manual, and reinsert the paper for the second side, the pages are mismatched (eg on a 10 page document Page 1 has page 10 on the reverse, Page 2 has page 9 on the reverse.

Obviously I can reorder them manually before reinserting the stack, but I'm thinking there must be a way to be able to reverse the printing order of one set so this isn't necessary -especially for longer documents.

I have reset the printer to factory settings and it still occurs.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Thomas

See the steps for duplex printing from this HP document:

Depending on the application you are printing from the options may vary but the general process to make changes is the same.  Get into the duplex options for the printing application and review the various options that are supported.

Thank you John. Unfortunately this is not the issue - I can print duplex in the sense that it prints the one set of pages, the I reinsert the stack and click ok, then it prints the other sides, but as it is a laser and the the printed side is face down, the first sheet to be pulled into the printer is the last sheet to come out the top. But it doesn't reverse the printing order of the second set so the pages are mis matched. E.g. Page 1 on the back of page 20, page 3 on the back of page 19 etc. I could manually restack the pile in reverse order but I think there must be a way to avoid that?

Are you printing with the Page order set to Front to Back or Back to Front?:
