I've been printing successfully for years on my P1102w Laserjet. Today it printed one document and went offline. There is no network connectivity to the device.
I plugged it into my laptop using the USB cable. The laptop recognizes the printer and will print a Test Page. I downloaded the latest firmware, but the install fails. It says it cannot detect the printer. I tried installing the latest software, but it too fails.
I'm at a loss. The printer was working great, and I have a brand new toner cartridge sitting here ready to be installed, but the printer will no longer connect to the network, or allow me to update the firmware/software.
Any help will be appreciated.

Hello @blaframboise,
Thanks for showing your interest in the HP Forums! I see that you are having issues getting the printer connected to the network again. I can help you.
I have provided some steps to take to setup the printer again:
Power cycle the router and the computer.
Restore the printer defaults and reconfigure the network again.
Turn the printer off, hold down the wireless button and cancel (x button) while turning the printer back on and don't release the two buttons until the printer stops making noise.
Print out a configuration report and make sure the SSID and IP address are cleared. (hold down the x button and when the printer makes a noise let go)
Temporarily connect the USB cable to this computer.
View all the Apps on the computer or do a Search.
Look for the HP Laserjet Software and select the Wireless Configuration.
Run through the wizard to reset up the printer on the network.
Disconnect the USB cable and test the printer.
Try printing again.

I have this exact issue. The firmware update failed part way through and after that I got an alternating green/Amber light flashing for around 5 minutes before the printer stayed on green. I can print using USB but when running the set up software it will not find my wireless router at all, even manually entering the SSID.
The config page prints out as a line at the top of the paper and has no text at all.
ive removed the printer from my Windows 10 printer list, reset the route from scratch and all my other devices and another Epson printer found the network and connected fine but this HP will not find the network at all.
Any ideas please?
