LaserJet P4014N
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I have an HP LaserJet P4014N that has recently started freezing on initalization. I cannot access it through its IP address in order to upgrade the firmware. The printer shows up on a PC as it is turned off/offline and it is faded. It has no USB ports on it, and it is out of warranty and HP is not offereing extended warranty packs for this model.

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello, try taking the machine of the network and restart it to see if it does the same thing. If it still does, than it sounds like it could possibly be a formatter issue.

Image_Tech, thanks for the assistance, it is still doing it without the network cable plugged in so I guess it is the formatter. It has been sitting here stuck for over 20 minutes.
