Hi @Shtmlf,
A PCL XL error usually means the printer received print data it can't process. It's typically caused by a corrupted print job or driver, not the hardware.
- Turn the printer off, unplug it for 60 seconds, then plug it back in.
- On the PC, open Services, stop "Print Spooler", delete the files in C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS, then start the spooler again.
- Remove the M118dw from Printers & scanners and install the full driver for your model: HP LaserJet Pro M118dw Software and Drivers
- If the error only happens with certain files (e.g. PDFs), try the HP Universal Print Driver from the same page, or print the PDF as an image (Adobe Reader > Print > Advanced > Print as image).
Let us know if it happens with every document or only specific ones.
