Is this a network printer or a local printer. Only time I have seen those buttons not work is when the printer is on a server and you do not have the rights to make any changes. Below is a link to the postscript driver for windows 10 64bit if that is what you have. See if you can connect your printer to this driver.

This is actually my own, home office, local printer. I have downloaded the driver (through the link you provded, thanks). Should I now unzip it or click on browse?

@davidzuts wrote:For the universal driver you need to run the program and then associate the printer with the driver.
I did run the program, and now it is stuck in this window:
Finish
Printer
HP Universal Printing PS
Status
Installing..............
Printer installation can take several minutes, please wait...
I left it running overnight and it is not done yet??? Have no idea what to do. Sould I X out (click on the top right corner with the "X") and try to reinstall, but first uninstall? If so, how?

To be honest I think you are having computer issues with your operating system. If you have a friend who is computer savy, I would take the machine to him/her to see if they can see what is wrong. Your operating system could be having issues or it may be you are doing something wrong but in any case until you have someone who knows computers look at your machine I really do not think you will solve the issue. If there is nothing important on your machine (data) and you have the original installation disk I would just reload the machine so it is just as it came out of the box make sure all updates to the operating system are done and then try again.

Thank you. I really appreciate your interest and the time you spent on this. I just wanted to try and get it done on my own, and learn something in the process (which I did). I will do as you suggest and consult with some more computer savvy friends.
