That will take awhile, since my printer doesn't work, I have to hand write every thing down so I can follow it

After writing out your instructions by hand, a thought occured to me. Instead of a novice like me trying to install a workaround, why don't I stick to the basics and here is what I did.  I decided to delete any and all items in my PC that refered to my HP printer. I then reinstall all software from HP that was for my printer. Suprise, it didn't help. I then downloaded the HP print Doctor and ran it. It picked up and corrected something that was stuck in the print spooler. I ran the same program a dozen times before, and it NEVER detected a GREMLIN in the spooler. At this point my printer is working OK, keeping my fingers crossed. I'm keeping your fix on a printed page so I can use it in the future, if needed.  Thank you so much for guiding me.
