Hello

My printer always jams when using tray 2. The paper gets crumbled sometimes before it gets printed and sometimes afterwards. Looked like an accordion during the last print. Tray 1 works perfectly.

I have cleared all the jams. Tried multiple times with no success. Thank you

If tray 1 works fine then the problem is likely either worn pickup/feed rollers in tray 2 or an obstruction in the paper path. If you remove the tray and examine the roller in the body of the printer they should be clean and have fingerprint like ridges. If they are smooth or dirty they will cause misfeeding which results in jams. Easiest way to get rid of an obstruction in the feed path coming out of tray 2 is to take a 1" wide piece of thin stiff cardboard or mylar and floss out the paper path by forcing the mylar through the paper path in the same direction of normal paper flow. Never pull backwards as this can damage flags.

I just filled the paper tray with paper to the brim.. and for some reason it works now. If it has less paper it jams. I saw on the forum that people have had this issue. Not sure how to mend it though.

If it works from full but not when lower it is usually due to the lift tray not lifting because indicator that shows paper in tray has become dislodged and prevents the tray from lifting all the way.

The plastic indicated by the red arrow is in the wrong position, the metal tray should be in the middle of the plastic "c"

like this: You can usually jockey it into position without having to disassemble the tray.

The tray is in the right position in the middle of the plastic clip.
