Photosmart 7510 e all in one

Hello community,

I would very much appreciate some help if possible.

I recently found myself in the unfortunate position of being made redundant and as a result, short of funds.

Obviously I was in need of use of my Photosmart 7510 e All in One printer more now than ever. It is at least 4 years old, has never given me any issues, and is by no means over used.

Being short of funds I purchased some non hp, but very highly rated OfficeWorld 364XL cartridges. Upon installation I received the error message on the printer “Printhead missing”.

I have removed and reinstalled numerous times, I’ve cleaned the printhead and tried all available suggestions I can find on the net, to no avail.

I have been reading that hp rig their printers to automatically reject anything being installed that is not their own. Please tell me this is not true, I am LIVID at the thought that they are trying to FORCE people to buy their over priced, extortionate products, and deliberately breaking people’s equipment.

All help would be appreciated.
