Product: mfp m283fdw

This question has been asked before, and I wonder if there are any better solutions which do not involve duct tape or tearing the printer apart or the like:

 

How can the Power LED of my Color Laserjet MFP m283fdw be stopped from blinking while the printer is in stand-by? Is there any setting I have overseen? This blinking is really annoying! (And yes - toner levels are OK, the printer is fully functional)

As far as I have seen and know, that is normal behaviour and there is no "setting" to turn it off.
