LaserJet P1102w
Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

I have followed installation for this printer - LaserJet P 1102w.  I can print out test page with USB cable.  I want to connect to my home wifi network.  When I click on print utility, the utility doesn't open.  I have followed suggestions in other posts, however nothing lets utility open. I have resinstalled software from supplied CD, I have downloaded from the web.

I have most recent version of operating system as well - El Capitan

thank you

Hi,

Did you installed any HP Software downloaded from the HP Site or followed the steps to install the printer via Apple Software Update as listed?

If you did installed any software downloaded from HP please uninstall it and follow these steps to install the printer on El Capitan:

http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-LaserJet-Pro-P1102-Printer-series/4110394/model/4110306/docum...

Next reboot your Mac and go to System Preferemces > Printers & Scanners.

Double click the printer and click on Printer Settings, from the Utility tab press the HTML Config button.

From tehre select the Wireless Tab, set your wireless network, its password and type and press Apply.

If you got any error during the way, please clarify the exact step and behavior

Problem is that when I click on "open printer utility" nothing happens. At first, it did open and I got most of the way through your tutorial, but then your online system would crash, and I'd still be left with an offline printer. This is getting very frustrating as you have no phone number or way of chatting with a live person. Nice.
