Print drivers for 1022n

I am trying to install apps and environment for a new HP laptop.  I am successfully accessing and using my HP Laserjet 1022n on three other computers using the most current Windows 10 OS (version 6.3) therefore I know drivers are operable.  However, when I go to HP's software download center there is no software/driver packages available for the 1022n.

There is confusion on other postings as to whether there is a driver compatible with current releases of Windows 10 support t given that drivers are successfully running on my other 3 computers proves that there is.

I read about the printer issue that you are facing and wanted to stop in to share my suggestions with you 🙂

First off, there are no downloadable drivers for the LaserJet 1022n printer model as this is an older model. But, you can use the printer by installing the printer using the Windows built-in drivers.

If the printer is already connected to the network, then try the steps listed here to install the printer on your new PC: http://hp.care/2oSqtTW 

Follow the steps under step 3.

There is a current driver for HP Laserjet 1020 series printer (released in 2016).  This appears to be working fine and provides full functionality.  Not sure why this is not posted under Laserjet 1022 (the original installation disk provided when printer was purchased includes "HP Laserjet 1020 series" on the label.
