I'm trying to print a PDF booklet with a cover page that is a different color. I load the colored paper in tray 1 and plain paper in tray 2. I set "Special pages:" to Front Cover tray 1 and have the print job set to tray 2. When printing I get the first side of the cover page printed on the colored paper but it is not duplexed, so the inside cover starts on the plain paper and the booklet is then out of order. No matter how I change the settings I cannot get it to duplex the cover page. Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Hi,

All the pages are in a single PDF document, including the cover and the rest of the pages, right?

What paper type has you set for Tray 1? not all paper type are supported for auto duplexing

What do you mean by "set special pages" to tray 1 and have the print job set to tray 2? the cover page must be a part of the print job for duplex printing to work

Yes, all the pages are in the same document on legal size paper.

All paper types are plain the only difference in the paper for the cover is that it is colored.

Under printer properties - paper/quality, there is the choice for "Special pages:" This is where you set "Front Cover," "Back Cover," "Print pages on different paper" insert blank or preprinted sheets" I have chosen "front cover = First page of Job, Paper source = tray 1, Paper type = plain
