Hi @Alsaray_broker,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
The HP Laser MFP 137fnw is a versatile printer that includes print, copy, and scan functionalities. For printing on cheques, here are a few considerations to ensure successful printing without damaging the cheques or misaligning the format:
Check Media Specifications:
- The printer supports different media sizes and types, so verify that the cheque paper falls within the supported media types. Typically, it should accommodate printing on standard sheets like A4, Letter, etc.
Use the Manual Feed Slot:
- To avoid paper jams or misfeeds, use the manual feed slot suited for handling specialized media like cheques.
Adjust Printer Settings:
- Ensure that the printer settings on your computer are configured to match the cheque's size and format. This might involve creating a custom size in the print preferences.
Alignment and Format Settings:
- Before printing, it is advisable to print a test page on a blank sheet of paper to ensure the content aligns correctly with the cheque layout as specified in your PDF.
Print Quality:
- Select the best print quality settings if the printer allows adjustments to ensure the text is sharp and clear, especially the critical details on the cheque.
Handling Media:
- Handle the cheques carefully when loading them into the printer to keep them smooth and aligned properly, reducing any chance of misfeeds.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!

Thank you so much for your detailed reply, which was so helpful for me, yet can you confirm for me the minimum size for the feeder in the printer? I want to ensure that the feeder accept the small size of cheques which is 16cm X 7.3cm

Hi @Alsaray_broker,
Thank you for your response.
Glad the details helped—yes, the feeder comfortably handles items as small as 16 cm × 7.3 cm.
