Printer
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

When attempting to print something i get this message "there was a problem connecting  to the Server.  Touch retry to connect again or OK to exit."  I have tried re installing the driver and still get the same message.  What am I doing wrong?

This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are getting server connection error message while printing on HP Photosmart B210 printer. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

Download and run the above Print and Scan doctor. Click here

If that does not work, follow the below steps to fix this issue.

  • Obtain your printer's IP address
  • This can be done by pressing the wireless icon on printer.
  • Enter the printer's IP address in a browser.
  • Select the network tab at the top of the page.
  • On the left select networking.
  • Select Network Address (IP)
  • Select Manual DNS Server
  • Manual Preferred DNS should read 8.8.8.8
  • Alternate DNS Server should read. 8.8.4.4
  • Select apply you might get a warning just select okay.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers.

Thank you for your help.  I has already tried Scan Doctor without success.  I tried several other things including changing the ink holdier and all of the catridges.  By this time it was telling me that the catridge holder was inserted incorrectly.  After trying many time I finally gave up and ordered a new printer.  I left the printer for two  days and when I tried it on day 3 it unaccountably begin working again.   Not sure what fixed it.  Linnie1

have just gone through some sort of upgrade to my HP Photosmart B210 printer-scanner etc. I had justSwapped out the USB cable in favor of going wireless ( I've had very good service through that option for around 20+ years.  on various pieces of equipment during the past.

I am now operating, s follows: Dell 5487 AMD  (64bit chip) @3.4GHZ, max# RAM THAT WILLFIT, OFFICE 2010 PRO PLUS,  with the first version of WIN 10.

My question I s as follows: I had "ISSUES"  getting the4printer to 'MARRY' UP WITH MY DELL. i WAS TR4YING TO PTINT OUT S "2 PAGE DOCUMENT, and when it WOULN'T, I looked into why the printer was being "B alky. " It seems  that 9 documents  were trapped in the queue. Now, How can Icancel, or. clear out the traffic jAM, WITHOUT RESORTING TO NAPLM?
