Hi,
I have a printer on site which when printing makes some really loud clunking noises.
It appears to be coming from the back of thr printer.
I have tried the numerous different steps of checking the cogs, taking things out cleaning things up; although still no joy!
I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue
Thanks.

Hi,
Just for a possible future solution.
I sprayed a little bit of maintenance spray around some of the cogs etc around the area I thought the noises were coming from. I had that area use the printer living with the slightly louder noise and this morning I revisited the printer and the noise had completely gone.
Woo Hoo for maintenance spray!
Thanks for your help.

Hi Sphixxit,
Unfortunatelly, this model does not have good diagnostics/troubleshooting options. You can't do a component test so that you can't identify exactly from where the loud noise comes from. What I would do:
Take as many covers off as you can, but keep the printer in an operational mode. Try to print again with the printer "naked" and try to hear from which point/area of the printer the noise comes.
Have you checked the ITB if it is damaged?
Have you tried different set of toners?
I hope these may help you,
Cheers!

Thanks for your reply,
I haven't changed the toners; although I have gotten onto our stores manager to try a different set of toners.
As far as I am aware, checking over the ITB appears to be fine; can't see anything damage, or nothing really appears worn.
I will try pretty much stripping it down seeing if I can find anything that way.
Thanks.
