Hi.. desperately need help.  My printer is a couple of months old and we are trying to print some invitations on heavy cardstock.  I have set the Printer setting or  Paper/Quality to cardstock 176-220g, but this doesn't seem to help solve the problem.  it managed to print twice after many many tries.. but this is not productive at all. 😞

Any suggestions?

A few ideas / places to check ...

  • The weight of your card stock might not be supported in the printer.

and / or

  • After loading / changing paper in the tray, it may be necessary to modify / retain the paper size and type settings on the printer control panel.  If your printer supports this feature, open the tray > load in the appropriate paper > close the tray > look for a message to "modify" the settings (wording may vary and depends on printer model).

and / or

  • A print setting is missing or perhaps incompatible with other settings.  For example, "card stock" may be supported in particular standard paper sizes.

and / or

  • Card stock may not be supported in a particular tray.

Which tray are you feeding from? If trying to use the pull out tray (tray 2) likely it will not be able feed the paper reliably. You may have better success using the manual tray (tay 1), however converting the maximum weight listed on the specs show maximum gsm for this printer at around 125 and that is rated only using HP glossy photo paper
