I got new internet supplier (Fidium) and can’t connect my wireless printer to the WiFi.
is there a phone number I can call and have someone talk me through it?

Hello
May I ask if the printer is connected to the phone hotspot normally?
Also, please specify at which step the problem occurred when connecting wirelessly.

Thank you.

Hi @1Tl69,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear that you changed internet providers or got a new router; your HP wireless printer usually needs to be set up again on the new Wi‑Fi network.

What you need:

  • A computer connected to your wireless network.

  • Internet access.

  • Make sure the computer and printer are on the same wireless network.

  • Make sure the router and computer are powered on.

Basic setup steps:

  1. Set up the printer and load paper.

  2. Download and install the HP full-feature print driver.  Official HP® Support.

  3. During installation, when the Connect window opens, stop there and do not continue yet.

  4. Restore the printer’s default wireless settings:

    • Make sure the printer is on.

    • If the wireless light is already blinking, continue to software setup.

    • Otherwise, press and hold the Power button.

    • While holding Power, press Start Copy Black 2 times, then press Cancel 3 times.

    • Release the Power button.

    • The wireless light should begin blinking.

  5. Return to the installation screen and click Continue.

  6. Choose Wireless - Make a wireless connection to the printer.

  7. Follow the on-screen steps and select:

    • Yes, send and store my wireless settings on the printer (recommended)
      or

    • Wireless Setup Using a USB Connection

If the connection keeps dropping:

HP says you can:

  • Restart the computer and printer

  • Wake the printer if it is in sleep mode

  • Print a Network Configuration Page

  • Open the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) from a browser

  • Go to Network settings and use Suggest a Manual IP Address, then apply the changes and restart the printer.

    I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

I'm an HP Employee.
