Laserjet 500 Color MFP M575
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
We have two users that cannot print the whole MS Word or PDF document to the printer Laserjet 500 Color MFP M575. The documents usually have more than 100 pages. The really odd thing is that the printer will only print 42 pages at a time. If the document has under 42 pages, the whole document prints. The printer is accessed over a LAN and more users may be affected, but most users do not print more than 42 pages at a time. We do not get any errors, the jobs just does not print more than 42 pages at a time and the print queue is cleared. We have increased the printer memory, made sure with our vendor that the printer is working properly, made sure the network print server was configured correctly, checked event logs for errors on the desktops and the print server and made sure there was nothing in the settings that limited the amount of memory, hard disk space or pages. The desktops are HP Elitedesk 705 G1 Mini's with 8GB of RAM and AMD processors running Windows 7 64bit. The Print Server is a Hyper-V VM running Windows 2008 R2. It is very annoying and frustrating for the users because they print from 1-42, then 43-84 and so on until they printed the whole document. We are stumped, any ideas?

Hello, have you tried updating the firmware for this machine? Also, have there been any recent updates to the applications being used to print these documents? Also, what driver is being used for this machine, and has it been updated to the latest driver? I would start with those areas first, as it definitely sounds like some kind of software related issue or driver issue, since the memory on the printer has been updated.

Hope this helps....

Thank you for your reply, we are looking into the drivers and firmware, and I will mark as answer if this resolves the problem.

To clarify, we upgraded the firmware on the printer and had users print more than 42 pages. Thank you for your help!
